FCI has developed a new, slimmer version of its original USB+ Power connector. The new Slimline USB+ Power offers a USB 2.0 type A receptacle with 5 additional lines of power integrated above the USB receptacle. These power lines provide over 6 Amps of additional power, ideal for high-power peripherals such as re-writable optical drives, high-capacity magnetic drives, printers, docking cradles and speakers.

Bi-directional power is possible through the reverse-polarity, 5th pin, providing maximum flexibility and safety in designs utilizing 2-way power. FCI can provide assembled single-ended cables for direct attachment to any USB peripheral.
